The three Kentucky Derby 2018 contender spreadsheets have been updated as of February 19, 2018.

Bravazo became the first horse to qualify for the Run for the Roses when he won the Risen Star at the Fair Grounds and earned 50 points. The D. Wayne Lukas trainee sits on top of the points list with a total of 54. The DDR list does not include every horse that has earned qualifying points. It does contain the most likely contenders for the Kentucky Derby.

When this list is sorted to focus on breeding; Curlin, Tapit, and Scat Daddy are the sires that have three runners on the list. Several stallions have two possible Derby winners: Into Mischief, Malibu Moon, Medaglia d’Oro, More Than Ready, and Street Sense.

The third version of the list provides a picture of which trainer may win the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby. Bob Baffert and D. Wayne Lukas are hoping to get their fifth win on the first Saturday in May. Baffert has five on the list including the recent maiden winner Justify and Lukas has two. Steve Asmussen and Dale Romans are both seeking their first Derby victory. Romans has five horses on the list and Asmussen has four. Todd Pletcher also has four contenders as he tries for his third win and his second in a row.
