If you are thinking about our joining our exciting new opportunity at Derby Day Racing, you better act now — The 2018 2yo Partnership will be closing in a matter of days.
This partnership will officially be closed on Wednesday, September 19. That’s because the beautiful, long-striding filly you see above is ready to run. So says her two-time Breeders’ Cup winning trainer, Buff Bradley. Her name is Sooner Schooner, and she is set to make her career debut next Thursday evening under the iconic Twin Spires of Churchill Downs.
Imagine how excited the team at Derby Day Racing is to see this gorgeous daughter of Lookin At Lucky run under our silks over the hallowed grounds of the home of the Kentucky Derby. The good news is that it is not too late to join the team and be part of all the excitement.
Led by the early favorite for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Accelerate, who swept all three of the biggest races for older males in California this year, sons and daughters of the two-time champion Lookin At Lucky have won over $5 million on the racetrack in 2018. We have high expectations for Sooner Schooner, and Thursday is only the beginning.
Out of a stakes winning, and stakes producing Archers Bay mare, Sooner Schooner gives all indications of a filly who will love two-turns, and only get better with maturity, as so many offspring of Lookin At Lucky tend to do. Even better, the May 7 foal is filling out her large frame quickly, and showing real signs of ‘getting it’ in her morning works. But Sooner Schooner is not the only reason for excitement at Derby Day Racing..
We recently welcomed in our second horse to the partnership, and he is also now working at Churchill Downs under the watchful care of Buff Bradley. A 2yo son by the excellent young sire, Trappe Shot (Tapit) out of multiple stakes producing, young Dixie Union mare, Painismygain joins Derby Day Racing with a serious pedigree.
We expect this racy colt to be able win at distances from six to nine furlongs. Win being the key word, as he comes from both a sire and a dam who produce winners. Like Sooner Schooner, he is a May foal, and grades out with straight A’s on his pedigree cross. Look for Painismygain, seen galloping in the bottom three photos, to make his career debut at Churchill Downs sometime in the near future.
Great times are ahead for all the partners of Derby Day Racing. We invite you to join the team. For a minimum investment of $10,000, you can own a solid share of both of these exciting young prospects. If you’ve ever dreamed of what it would be like to see your horse thunder down the stretch at a top racetrack, the opportunity is now. Call or email Managing Partner, Brian Zipse today!
